Description:

A relatively soft stone that comes in a variety of colors. It has distinctive crystal formations inter-grown, twin crystals. The largest crystals have been found in the U.S.A. A pink variety has come from the Alps of Switzerland. Rarely does it have inclusions.

Healing Properties:

Known to be good for blood vessels and the spleen. Grounds excessive energy. It has been considered the "Genius Stone".

Legends and Folklore:

For centuries, fluorite has been used in carvings by both the ancient Egyptians and the Chinese. Carved ornaments were recovered from the ruins of Pompeii. Ancient physicians used powdered fluorite in water to relieve kidney disease.
