I absolutely love this Sterling silver box chain! The 1 mm thickness is perfect. It’s delicate and feminine. It still feels strong and durable. The shine is beautiful and gives off a clean polish. Look that works with both casual and dressy outfits. The class is secure and easy to use, which I really appreciate since this necklace is used for a beautiful cross pendant and it doesn’t tangle in my hair which is even better.

this chain was great, color doesn’t tarnish, nice natural silver color going matching my pendants, comfortable fitting, wore it everyday for the past half year, the reason why it’s not 5 stars is because it just snapped on me. I’d love a replacement if possible.

I needed an 18” silver chain for a few of my smaller medallions, and this one fit the bill.It’s delicate, shiny, lightweight, and holds my lighter medallions well without strain.This only thing that I didn’t like was the very small clasp, which was a bit hard to open and close to put on and take off the chain. Luckily I have a longer thumbnail than the rest of my short nails so I could put it on without turning the clasp to the front using a mirror to guide me.I’ll buy another shorter one for my 7 year old niece. It’ll be perfect for her too.

This CHAIN could be a life saver some day! If you are looking for a review on the quality of this product as a piece of jewelry, skip to the next review. Looking for a chain to hold your Nitro tablets, look no further. This is my second chain. Even though I just purchased it, I can speak with some level of expertise to its value. Why is this my second purchase if the first one was so great? Good question. My first one went through the washer and was no where to be found after the spin cycle was complete. I am figuring I will find it one day after I pay $300.00 for a washing machine repair to learn that the chain found its way to the water pump and logged itself inside. This does speak to the quality of the chain as it was not able to withstand 45 minutes in a washing machine with a few hundred spins in the spin cycle. I would strongly recommend not washing the chain in your washer. The chain does come with instructions on how to maintain the chain along with a clothe to use for cleaning purposes only. Why there are no instructions on how to wash it in a washing machine is beyond me. Getting back to the Nitro tablets. The chain does a great job in carrying the container around my neck for easy access in the event of the need for my tablets. There are some con's to the chain. If you live an active lifestyle of going to the gym and exercising regularly you may want to consider a thicker chain. If whoever you lead a sedentary lifestyle this chain "should" be sufficient. Be sure to remove the chain from your neck when getting an EKG at your cardiologist office. Oh, most importantly, chain does not turn your neck green so skip the dollar store chains (been there done that) and go with this one. Five stars!

EDIT - Alright so my full original review that I left a few days ago is below. A few hours after I posted it, someone contacted me and told me that it was indeed a defect and that he was sending me 2 replacement chains (one is a bit thicker than the other). I've had the chain on for about 15 hours now, I've been adjusting the pendant like normal, and it is holding up excellently. Still looks great and feels perfect! Just wanted to let everyone know that this is indeed a great purchase and their customer service is top-notch.ORIGINAL (had given 1 star) - I ordered this because the clasp of the necklace I had been wearing for over a year broke. I still love the pendant so my solution was to buy a new chain for it. I came home from work yesterday and put this on, and I absolutely loved it. The chain is light and elegant, it doesn't yank on the little hairs on the nape of my neck, and it looks beautiful. It even came with a cute little "emergency kit" that included earring backs, a polishing square, and jewelry bags.However, later that evening, I was simply adjusting the pendant on the chain while it was around my neck. I wasn't being the slightest bit rough with it and there was zero yanking. But the chain just broke in the middle. I don't know if I just got a defective chain or what, but this sucks because it really was a very nice chain. Just wish it had lasted longer than a few hours.

This is a comparison of two sterling silver chains, this one and one by Hawaiian Silver Jewelry, 925 Sterling Silver Italian 1mm Box Chain 16" Nickel Free. The Designer Sterling Silver chain is .8mm, and the Hawaiian one is 1mm.Price: The Hawaiian chain was $6.99. The Designer chain was $9.99. Advantage Hawaiian.Materials: Both are .925 sterling silver from Italy. Tie.Packaging: The Designer chain came in lovely packaging-- a silver gift box, tips for cleaning and caring for sterling silver, and a "jewelry survival kit." The Hawaiian chain came in small plastic bags with a black card inlaid with a picture of a hibiscus.Advantage Designer.Appearance: Both chains are very attractive. They are a bright, white, silver and shiny. The Designer one is ever slightly more slender, since it is .8mm and not 1mm. The box construction is slightly tighter on the Hawaiian chain and more open on the Designer chain-- i.e., the box links fit together very closely on the Hawaiian chain and a bit less so on the Designer chain. I'm not aware that one is better than the other (though it could be). Tie.Rings:The rings at the end of the Hawaiian chain are round. They look well soldered to the chain and secure. They are pretty small, which makes it a little hard to put the necklace on. That said, the small ring size is a bonus if you're trying to thread it through a bead or something with a small hole.The Designer chain has more oblong rings. They are fastened to the very last link of the chain. I have another chain with oblong rings that has a few links of the chain coming through the end of the ring. Fastening the ring to the very end is more aesthetically pleasing, though I wonder if it is as secure.Slight advantage Designer.Clasp:The Hawaiian chain comes with a spring clasp. The jump ring on the clasp is closed, but not soldered.The Designer chain comes with a lobster clasp. The jump ring is not soldered, nor is it properly closed (see attached picture).This should be advantage Designer because of the lobster clasp, but as it is, it's a wash.Overall: If the Designer jump ring were properly closed, I would give the Designer chain a very slight edge over the Hawaiian one. I can't comment on either chain's durability since I haven't worn either yet. I haven't decided which one I'm going to keep.

This necklace is so pretty and delicate. However it is very strong, my dog's claw accidentally got caught on it when I was putting him in the car and the necklace didn't break. I was very shocked because anther necklace I had purchased off ebay that was similar, had broken when it caught on my own finger on it and it broke so easily. Therefore I was very shocked to see that such a shiny pretty and thin necklace was so strong.The Company also sent some pieces of paper that help keep the necklace and other sterling silver jewelry very shiny. They also sent some additional bags so you can put different jewelry pieces in them and cut the tarnish papers up and divide between the different bags. Along with that they also sent cleaning instructions and a bag full of rubber earring backs. I had other sterling silver rings that were tarnished and I didn't read the cleaning instructions before I started cleaning with the tarnish resistant papers, so I started rubbing them on the other rings I have and the charms that are pictured on my photos uploaded to give you a view of the necklace. My charms were really tarnished and the papers also worked really well on them. I was very impressed. If I ever need another necklace I would definitely purchase another one from this company.My only comment is that I ordered a 20" necklace and I had read some other reviews and they said their necklaces were shorter then the other chains of the same size that they had. So knowing this information I ordered a 20" I am a overweight lady and so my neck chest area is larger then some (thinner people, HAHA). So I received the necklace and it definitely was smaller then another 20" necklace I have. So I was actually happy with the length of the necklace. I felt that for my (larger size) it was perfect.

I bought this necklace to replace a sterling silver chain I had broken, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed. The box chain is delicate but still feels strong, and the lobster clasp is secure and easy to use. It has a nice shine and looks great on its own or paired with a pendant.The quality feels solid for everyday wear. I LOVE my chains (I have two connected together). I do not take them off, unless I have to (for example: medical tests). The length is perfect for me. I doubled the chains to carry multiple charms (3).Unfortunately (or fortunately) the clasp has failed. But, to the product's credit, I have owned the necklaces for over 38 months.

Gorgeous chain very beautiful and bright quality looks nice. I wish the lobster claw was a little bit bigger, but it is average size for the necklace. I absolutely would recommend this. Yes, especially since it’s made in the USA. We gotta start buying more from the USA.

This chain is beautiful and durable. I have a two-year-old granddaughter that likes to twirl it and pull it and play with it and it’s held up well. great quality. Very comfortable my previous chain always pulled the hair at the back of my neck and this one never has.

Strong light sterling silver chain. The clasp on one side doesn’t appear to be silver as I attached magnetic claps (not from this vendor) and the magnet was attractive to it. (That’s why I gave it 4 stars)The rest of it appears to be sterling silver and it’s strong enough to hold a lite charm on it. Good quality workmanship.

When I was searching for a chain, to use with a magnifier, I was sold when I saw the "lifetime guarantee" offered with this. And yes, unfortunately, I've already had to request a replacement. My cat, afraid of strangers, was being held so that I could get him inside. And when he saw a stranger right by the door, it was a struggle to get him inside. In the middle of that struggle, he managed to jerk the chain hard enough for it to break along the clasp link TO the chain. It broke, but a replacement is already speeding on it's way.I do want to clarify. The CHAIN didn't break, it was the small connector to attach the lobster clasp, that's what broke. The chain itself is beautify. I love the appearance of it. It's the perfect size to use with my magnifier, and I've been wearing it almost 24/7 since it came. It's very smooth, never snags on my clothing or my hands. It's strong, I've even worn it to bed without fear. If the cat hadn't been so panic'd, I think it would have even survived his struggles.I will admit, I'm sad that I have to return the original chain, once I receive my replacement. I think that I'd be able to find some use for it, since the main part is still perfectly fine. But I'm hoping that the company will be able to figure out a way to strengthen the connection from the chain to the clasp. Oh, the clasp, a lobster clasp, is so tiny and cute, but very sturdy in and of itself. It easily allowed me to thread the magnifier on through either end.
